Life lost its precious quality and its value early on and led to the sort of poor decisions people make when they are eclipsed by a feeling that there is nothing really to lose.
It wasn’t the first time he tried to make a grab for all the jax and wound up with nothing. When he was in seventh grade, his parents moved back from California after his father’s unsuccessful attempt at going into the food brokering business with his uncle. Amidst all of the “I wasted my whole life savings on that asshole” and “your father was misled” talk, was a move back to Suffolk County on Long Island and a 3 bedroom rental in a working class neighborhood.
